about.

about.

Hello, and welcome! I’m Alyssa Macaluso—a writer, researcher, and graduate student passionate about using communication to build more just and inclusive systems. I’m currently pursuing a Master of Science in Foreign Service at Georgetown University, where I focus on how global institutions and coalitions can advance human rights, gender equity, and sustainability.

Before graduate school, I studied American Studies and Peace and Justice Studies at Fordham University’s Lincoln Center campus, where I explored how culture, media, and policy intersect. I also developed my voice through a range of published writing, from human rights and environmental reporting to arts criticism and cultural commentary. Whether editing for my student newspaper or contributing to independent magazines, I’ve always been drawn to writing that connects people to the world around them.

This site showcases some of that early work—thank you for visiting!
